Larry Goddard (Founder, President) was born and educated in South Africa, and has over 30 years experience working with companies throughout North America to enhance their performance and profitability.

From 1982 to 1990, he was President and CEO of WACO International, a national manufacturer and distributor of construction equipment and supplies headquartered in Cleveland, OH. At Waco, Larry led the acquisition of eight companies. Revenues grew from $8 to over $100 million, with substantial losses turning into annual profits exceeding $5 million.

Prior to joining Waco, Larry was a supervisor at Price Waterhouse in Canada, and later founded Goddard Franklin Management Consultants, Inc. He is a Canadian Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Business Valuator and a Certified Turnaround Professional. Larry founded The Parkland Group in 1989 to provide specialized turnaround and business improvement services. Since that time, he has helped hundreds of organizations to dramatically improve their performance.

Larry's experience includes business performance and profitability improvement, managing high growth businesses, turnarounds, workout and interim management. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, service and construction businesses. He has been actively involved in many bankruptcy cases in numerous roles including advisor to the debtor, advisor to creditors committees, court appointed trustee, and investment banker.

Larry is the inventor of Parkland's "SOAR to Strategic Excellence™", a revolutionary one-day program that measure business health, and helps them achieve significant improvements in profitability.

Larry is the author of Corporate Intensive care: Why Businesses Fail And How To Make Them Succeed [1993], and co-author of The Turbocharged Company: Igniting Your Business To Soar Ahead Of The Competition [1995], and Top Down Vision and Bottom Up Management [2002], which focuses on improving business value and success via collaborative management.

Larry was a member of the board of directors of publicly-traded Oglebay Norton Inc. until its sale, and currently serves on numerous advisory boards. As a recognized industry expert, he is frequently quoted in the media, including the Wall Street Journal.
